Gettin’ down, up north.
There’s no down time when you’re up north. Unless you want some, of course. Whether you’re into a day on the golf course, a day on the lake or a day on the trails, you won’t be disappointed. Scroll down to discover the many activities this region has to offer.
Fishing
Lower Eau Claire Lake is a 784 acre lake located in Douglas and Bayfield Counties. It has a maximum depth of 41 feet. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. It has a public boat access and is part of the Eau Claire Chain of lakes.
Hunting
If hunting is your thing, then this is your place. The cabin is surrounded by thousands of acres of public hunting land. From trophy Whitetail to Black Bear to bird hunting, we have it all and we welcome it all.
Forest Point Golf Course
Within walking distance from the cabin is the Forest point Golf Course. It’s a family oriented 9 hole course located on 250 acres. It’s also a resort with additional lodging and a full bar.
ORV Trails
The surrounding area has hundreds of miles of trails for off-road use. Whether you’re looking to just putz around the local hot spots or log some serious miles, the cabin is the perfect entry point.
Life On The Water
Swimming, skiing, tubing, pontooning, kayaking or just a chill day day at the beach. The Eau Claire Chain of Lakes is one of the best spots for any outdoor water fun. The lakes are clear and there’s plenty of space for everyone.
Shop Local
The cabin is off the beaten path. You won’t find any malls or shopping centers around here. But if you’re craving a little retail therapy, a short drive will take you to local shops for all sorts of “up-north” goods. Hayward, Cable and Bayfield are all just a picturesque drive away.
Food and Drinks
Did someone say fish fry? Oh yeah, there’s plenty of that up here. You’ll find all sorts of bar/restaurants serving your favorite pub food, all with a friendly smile and “up-north” hospitality. The Clear Water Lodge on site also serves up pizza, pizza fries and Tom & Mel's Famous Rootbeer Floats.
